This homemade costume for boys entered our 2011 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Isabel, the 'Megamind' costume creator:

My 5 year old son is wearing this Megamind costume because he loves the movie so much. I have never sewed in my life so I looked online on how to make a cape and then sewed EVERYTHING by hand! I painted the design on some dance tights, put black socks over some shoes, bought a black belt and put fake jewels on it, I made a gun belt, bought long black gloves and added spikes on them. Very fun to make! :)

Totally cute little Megamind. Awesome costume, very creative. You can always just buy a costume but its always more imaginative and worth making it yourself. Great Job on the Megamind costume!

Great innovative homemade costume. Kudos to the mom for making a costume directed at the child somethng he likes as well. Bet it took some time to make this costume as original as it looks. I would vote this costume "most original" costume.

I like Megamind myself and wanted to dress up like him. I thought it would be too hard too make though so I didn't get to dress up like him. Now I know it is possible thank you.
